Each month, we share our knowledge and insights to help you get the most out of Braze and beyond. What we're talking about this month: 🧠 How smart marketers are using AI in real life 📌 Braze tips & tricks 🛠️ The most relevant updates from Braze’s March release 🪡 Resources you can use to hone your craft STITCH IN TIME AI-pril Showers Bring Smarter Marketers 🌧️ ICYMI: Last week, the CEO of Shopify sent a company-wide letter that sparked serious controversy. In it, he essentially said the company would prioritize investment in AI over expanding its team through human talent (among a myriad of other things). The backlash was swift. Why? Because that letter hit a nerve — it gave voice to the fear that’s been hanging in the air since AI went mainstream: AI is going to take our jobs. At Stitch, we’ve had the same perspective since day one: “Marketers won’t be replaced by AI. They’ll be replaced by marketers who use AI.” And yet, despite all the hype, headlines, and hot takes (even your grandma’s talking about it), intentional use of AI is still surprisingly rare. So in honor of AI-pril (yes, we’re running with the pun), we’re sharing a few ways we’re seeing smart marketers use AI in real life: Use an AI agent to deliver daily campaign performance updates to you, along with personalized recommendations for optimization Go from idea to deployment faster with the automated, AI-powered development of assets — syncing your project management tool to Braze Accelerate your creative process with BrazeAI copywriting to speak the languages of your audiences The full impact of AI won’t be clear for years — but you don’t have to wait to take action. These things are possible today. How we can help make them a reality for you? - Bri Jones VP of Marketing & Semi-Pro Latte Reviewer PIN IT Braze tips & tricks 📌 If you are a marketer or a developer, you're probably familiar with the Event User Log in Braze. This log gives you key insights into 1) if the right events coming into Braze when specific actions are performed and 2) if these events are coming in with the right data structure. You may have visited the Event User Log before only to find it frustratingly empty. That’s because it only displays events for users who belong to a Braze Internal Group with the User Event Group type enabled. Here's how to unlock this invaluable troubleshooting resource: Head to App Settings > Internal Groups Create a new group or select an existing one Make sure the User Event Group type is checked Add the user IDs you want to monitor (typically test accounts) With this setup, you'll instantly see exactly which events are firing and what properties they contain — critical insight when collaborating with your development team. Consider this your troubleshooting insurance policy — set it up before you need it, and you'll save countless hours of debugging! - Tatum Lynch Consultant Solution Architect & Hamburger Lover PATCHWORK Decoding Braze Product Updates 🛠️ Here's what caught our team's eye this month. New Cloud Data Ingestion Source - Braze has released yet another Cloud Data Ingestion source: Microsoft Fabric. Now included as CDI sources: Snowflake, Databricks, Google Big Query, Amazon Redshift and S3 (for File-based sourcing). Why it matters: This is a big update to improve the lives of brands that have MS Fabric in their stack and are using it to create customized customer/user profiles. Previously, brands would have to engineer alternative paths to get Fabric models/data sets into another warehouse, S3 bucket or utilize an API middleware into Braze. Now it’s direct, reducing the need for ongoing technical support! Any guesses on who will be next? Identity Resolution Rules - Braze added capabilities to help resolve identities and keep the customer experience complete. Why it matters: These added rules place logic into how brands resolve identities from across digital properties and devices — helping you keep your user profiles squeaky clean. You’re also now able to define winning records and tie-breaking based on your data strategy. API Usage Alerts [EARLY ACCESS] - You will soon be able to configure notifications to monitor specified API endpoints based on response codes, volumes and evaluation windows. Why it matters: This increases the transparency around your API usage with Braze and makes it easier to move more quickly on potential issues. Some examples we thought of: API Limit tracking: Get notified when you’re close to limits so you can adjust. Error Alerts: Get notified if triggered messaging is failing. Integration Alerts: Get notified if an integration stops sending data The fine print: Active alerts are once per 24-hour period (this is to prevent oversaturation of alerts). 10 alerts per Braze Workspace (we would imagine this will be expanded in the future) - Nick Burggraf Solution Lead & Golden Retriever Lover HONE YOUR CRAFT Our top resources this month 🪡 Here are some things to add to your toolkit: 🧠 Artificial Intelligence Keeping it human. As AI reshapes customer engagement, the real challenge is making your brand feel human. Our CTO, Stephen Rosenfeld, breaks down the latest insights from the Braze 2025 Global Customer Engagement Review and highlights how to strike that balance. Here’s how to put those insights into play. AI-powered A/B testing. At the end of March, Braze announced the acquisition of OfferFit. Our CEO, Michael Burton, thinks that this is a smart move as OfferFit’s team & tech will enhance Braze’s own AI initiatives. New website, new innovations. ICYMI, we launched a new website at the beginning of April, with a whole page highlighting our innovative solutions (many which were built with the help of AI). 📚 What we're reading VCs Wake Up To Vibe Marketing: AI Reshaping The $250 Billion Industry - Josipa Majic Predin, Forbes What You Can Learn From Shopify’s CEO’s Memo on Workforce AI - J.P.
